What does it mean when litter training a cat starts ****** on the floor?

I have a 5 year old cat who is litter-trained and ’till recently hasn’t caused me any problems with it. First, he started ****** on dirty clothes that were laying around. So, taking some of you all’s good advice I became a better housekeeper. However, I just went in the bathroom and saw where he peed right in front buying prescription drugs online without a prescription of a fresh litter box. I caught him ****** on a pile of laundry earlier as well.
