www.pamsdogacademy.com http In this video Sabrina my cat is learning how to touch a target stick. This is a foundation skill that I will use to train her to do many tricks. We are just getting started and i will video each training session so that I can show her progress as well as step by step instructions on how to train your cat. Good Luck if you are starting this process as training cats requires a lot of patience.

trained my cat to use a litter box in one day when I first got him as a kitten he pooped on the floor in some secluded spot spot I put the box in that spot and put the poo in the box then I put him in the box and then he got the idea of how that worked I moved the box to where I wanted it lol It was pretty easy… but thats as far as I trained him… but I am very interested in furthering his training.
Thank you! My mother trained one of our cats to sit pretty when I was a kid and only used a lure. Cats are smarter than people give them credit for.
I think she might be one of the beautifullest cats i have ever seen ! wow !! great idea to do that ! I toilet trained my cat once.. and also was training it to sit and stuff.. but not with a clicker
Thanks! It just takes a lot more time to train a cat. More patience!
Such a cute smart kitty:-)
Thank you! She is much harder to train than the dogs, but quite fun! I love the target stick! I use it for dog and cat training! Have a great day!

She’s so smart! 5*s Sabrina! That target stick is great, must come in handy alot!
I have just started training my cat aswell
Your video and training progress is actually pretty much the same as how I did it. Can’t wait to see where you go from here! Check my page if you want to see my video.
Where did you get the target stick? Are there larger versions available? (need one for a dog)
Thx!
Wow, a K9 Copy (cool)! Good for you 30 years. I am a full time PE teacher and can’t wait until I can retire and work with my dogs and cat full time. However, I have awhile to go.
That was great to watch. Gives me hope for a rescued fox cub I hope to work with. I retire from 30 years as a K9 cop this year. Branching out!!

I know, I love it too! Thank you for watching!
Thank you for the nice comments!
I have to use wet can food because cat treats and chicken make her sick.
I use a click stick that I got at a clicker expo and the end has never come off. I have had it for awhile.
YAY I love that you’re using the Clik Stik! It’s my favorite clicker EVER!
That was awesome! I cant wait to see her ’sit pretty’!
She is so good =D My cats would not sit like that if I had a can of food and didn’t let them have it. I find dry treats or small pisces of chicken work well for them.
Could you tell me what you are useing for a target? I would love to get one like that, but don’t want to use anything that the small end could come off.
Anyway, great job with Sabrina! Can’t wait to the next video with her.
I’m loving it! Will be watching your progress.
