Question by QOY Disorderly.: Other than actually potty training my cat what options do I have?
I was wondering if it was possible to have my cat catheterized and maybe a colostomy bag.

Wouldn’t it be easier to just petty train your cat? My cat learned quickly how to go in the litter box and its not hard to clean.

Question by PD: Who has used the litter kwitter or other cat toilet training method?
Does it really work? What if your cat uses the toilet when you aren’t home and nobody isn’t there to flush it? Wouldn’t it cause an odor problem IN your bathroom?

I’m pretty sure there IS training involved.
I believe you need to take the training, PASS the training, and receive a certificate when you’re done.
Very nice of you to want to help people. Good luck!

Question by emily: I have a question about cat training?
i know almost everything there is to training dogs, and one thing (of the many) is that you should always be able to take a toy from them whenever you want…
so i’m wondering if this is the same for cats as well.
the reason it is for dogs is because if you’re able to do this they view you as their leader (instead of the other way around) but for cats are they different? do they not have leaders? i’m so confused but i want to know more about them.

There is no such thing as cat training. Cats, however, are very good at training humans to provide them with sufficient food, bedding and litter etc. The old saying of dogs have masters and cats have staff is quite apt.

Question by Emmnemms: Information on training cat to be a therapy animal?
Hello
My grandma is soon going to have to be in a nursing home and i was thinking i would like to be able to bring a cat into the nursing home since i have seen how happy they make people.
I just started looking into this, and was hoping for some advice on how to go about this. I would be interested in getting a kitten so i could train him/her in the best way available.
Does anyone have any websites/organizations/personal experience they would like to share?
Any advice is appreciated. Thanks

teaching it to be comfortable on a leash would definitely be something i would do that way the kitty cant run away from you. You need to have a friendly, well socialized cat. Also make sure to keep its nails trimmed very short or put the little plastic nails covers over them so they wont accidentally scratch anyone.

I’ve never tried it with our cats. Tried it with our dog, but it’s probably my problem in it not working well
