default My Cat Peeing in the Toilet!

My cat pees in the toilet and tries to flush it afterwards. Believe it! I thought I had my share of animal funny videos, but this funny video had me on the ground laughing. This cat doesn’t need cat behavior training, or any animal potty training lessons. She actually learned how to pee on her own. Gotta love my cat peeing in the toilet. Does anyone actually know of cat behavior training specialists that do this kind of training? If so, I’d love to talk to these animal trainers to see how they do cat potty training as a comparison. If you have any personal experiences with cat behavior training or cat potty training, let me know. Would love to hear your insights too.

Any tips on re-training my cat to use the litter box?

Question by Kelly S: Any tips on re-training my cat to use the litter box?
She used to use the litter box just like any normal cat would. Now she’s suddenly decided that she doesn’t want to use the litter box anymore. She’s an indoor cat that’s about 5 years old. We’ve tried buying a new litter box, shampooing the carpets, moving the litter box to somewhere more convenient, and locking her in certain rooms with only the litter box. Nothing seems to work. If she doesn’t stop, were going to have to get rid of her. Any tips??

Have you taken her to the vet yet? Thats the first thing to do anytime a cat starts going outside the box. It could be a bladder infection, or something else medical. When it hurts a cat to do its business, often times the cat thinks its the box thats causing the pain, not the infection.

Once you take the cat to the vet and he rules out any sort of medical issue, buying medicine online than ask your question again.

Question shop drugs by jerry m: Is there any type of electronic training device to keep my cat off my furniture?
My cat has been urinating on our leather sofa. My husband and I are in the process of cleaning it and airing it out. Once it is cleaned, are there any electronic training devices to keep her off the sofa?? I have done research on the Tattle Tale and Pet Boundary, and did not find any good reviews. Does anyone have any suggestions other than getting rid of the cat?? She is fixed, and is not sick.

If you are sure that she is not sick and has seen the vet within the last week then it’s most likely something about her litter box.

Here’s the standard answer and if you read the links, I think you might find a solution.

Your cat may be ill. Improper elimination is often a symptom of a medical problem. Usually it’s a urinary infection and easily treated, but PAINFUL. So off to the vet!

Question by Mari O: Training and older cat to use the litter box (and not pee on the walls)?
My boyfriend’s mother has an older cat that I would love offshore pharmacies to adopt. However, his main problem is that he uses the litter box “half hazardly”: peeing on the walls to mark his territory, kicking litter out of the box, etc. There are a few other cats in the house and it has been suggested that this is a territorial thing. Is it possible to train him out of this? He’s around 4-5 years.

After it eats put it in its litter box and if it gets out, put it back in the litter box until it goes. Most cats train pretty easily and are supposed to know that is where it is supposed online prescription medications to “go” after just being put in the litter box once.

Cat Toilet Training – Jinx – Step 3

Jinx is using the Litter Kwitter toilet training system. This system mounts on your existing toilet and has 3 insert plates. The one you see here is the third step in a 3 step training process. Step 1 is a tray that has no hole that sits on the toilet. Step 2 is an orange tray with a small sized hole int he middle and step 3 is the green you see here. After taking a period of a week or two to get the cat to begin jumping to the toilet I feel like I’m home free in the training process. Many folks who document this process say it’s the hardest to get them to simply get up on the toilet. For Jinx she is pretty young (7 months as of today) and she’s been pretty malleable with that concept. She was afraid of the hole at first, and she’s just a little uncomfortable right now with the lack of dirt to bury things under. The longest part of her process is going to be getting her to realize that when her ‘poo poo’ is under water it doesn’t smell. I have been at it for 6 weeks and Jinx is doing great. She has had a total of 3 accidents since we started doing this, all three of them went to the couch and I believe it was because I hadn’t cleaned her tray enough to her liking, and also because I’m trying to lower the amount of litter used in the tray she sometimes considers other places to prescription online go. The process is not automatic, you have to hold her hand every step of the way. Constant reminders to go ‘pee pee’ and ‘poo poo’ in the ‘potty’ and huge amounts of praise when she comes out and
