Through a vet and advise from the wonderful people on Yahoo Answers, I found out that I have Feline Distemper or Feline Panleukopenia in my home. I have read online that it can survive at room temperature for years. I want to get rid of it!!!! I’ve read that a 10% solution of bleach in water will kill it, but that a simple overlooked piece of the litter can start it all over again. I am going to use the bleach on floors and walls and such.
Is there anything else I can use?
Will Lysol do a thing?
What do I use on my couch and carpet and such?
I am going to get rid of all toys, dishes, litter box, ect.
I would love more advise! Thank you so much.
Down the road if I do decide to get another cat I won’t dream about bringing them into my home until they have had ALL there Distemper vaccines!
